If you know or use fizy.com , you will love grooveshark. This is something more. At the first glance, you realize that grooveshark has more attractive look. It allows you to reach more popular music databases than fizy with fancy and user-friendly interface. Without an account you may instantly listen the song which can be found by artist name, genre, song name or album. "Radio" function provides ability to listen music at similar genres that previously added to your playlist. But it does not work well. When I chose a couple of chill musics and select "radio", after a while it started to play metal music like Ozzy Osbourne :).
Addition to that function, you may choose the genre itself by the menu next to the "radio" and enjoy random musics in your style. With a regular account, you can create your own playlists. If you do not want to be VIP user and sick of the ads, I suggest you to install ad-blocker to your browser ;)
The other beauty of grooveshark is that you can embed a playlist of your songs into your website or blog (Please see: "Listen this" app of my blog at the top right side)

Bon-appetite.

Netbook Remix byUbuntu

Ubuntu netbook remix. After I created a bootable usb drive of Ubuntu netbook remix, it was a quick process to install it to my Samsung N150. I enjoy the lovely user interface that reminds me Kubuntu. But after Ubuntu, it may take sometime to get used to the new desktop setup. Even if the layout the same, it has fewer options in system settings, and you may find yourself searching forums to find trash can:) Luckily there is an selective update to switch to regular ubuntu interface.

Brightness control is one problem that samsung netbooks have in this version of Ubuntu. The keyboard shortcuts do not work for brightness adjustment. An easy command line entry just works fine for this (sudo setpci -s 00:02.0 F4.B=50). Another problem is heat. Your minibook may overheat due to instability of Lucid version but you can overcome it in command line or wait for Karmic one.

No icon of trash can on desktop (can be found in "go" menu of any file), no adding shortcuts on desktop, no "add to panel" option, small icons of open pages at the top may look nonfunctional, but I believe, after a while, it will become better than others.

The fancy tools that came with the windows starter may not work here, but some of them can be adjusted on Bios settings page. Especially the function that extends the battery life is available in the old blue screen.
