Exciting movies in 2012
New year is coming, and so new movies. I conducted a detailed investigation on these movies (which is only watching the trailers) and selected the most interesting ones. Here are the movies to be watched:

Who does follow too many Tv series?
tvcountdown.com is a useful website if you are following popular U.S., Japan or British TV series and want to know when the next episodes will be on air. You can also create a customized list by selecting specific series. It has a simple design and easy to use interface. There is no need to explain more.
Besides, I heard that there are similar websites which can also enable users to download those Tv series by torrent, but since torrents are mostly illegal, it will be a felony if I share those particular websites here :)

Fancy stuff for Ubuntu terminal
Yeah Ok. I got bored and tried to find some fancy things about my terminal screen. I have already changed background picture, fonts and and names... however something was still missing. And now, I had friends in terminal who greets me and tells some quotes for the day. I suppose that s an entertaining way to get start doing some stuff on terminal. First check my new terminal greeting by Bender from Futurama.
And then I can read the quote of the day from my cyber-cow!
Now everything is fantastic... So lets see how can we do this. I ll try to explain it simply:
First we need to install the quote generator engine- fortune:
sudo apt-get install fortunes fortunes-off
Then lets install the cyber-cow:
sudo apt-get install cowsay
Now we need to edit .bashcr file in order to see this greeting at the start up of terminal.
cp .bashrc .bashrc.bak
gedit .bashrc
after we opened the file, type cowsay "$(fortune)" at the beginning of this document (save&quit). When you restart terminal, here what you are gonna see the cybercow with a quote:
______________________
& %%%%% &;
----------------------
\ ^__^
\ (oo)\_______
(__)\ )\/\
||----w |
|| ||
Now lets make a bender greeting.
For that we need to create and edit another file:
gksudo gedit /usr/share/cowsay/cows/bender.cow
And then I can read the quote of the day from my cyber-cow!
First we need to install the quote generator engine- fortune:
sudo apt-get install fortunes fortunes-off
Then lets install the cyber-cow:
sudo apt-get install cowsay
cp .bashrc .bashrc.bak
gedit .bashrc
after we opened the file, type cowsay "$(fortune)" at the beginning of this document (save&quit). When you restart terminal, here what you are gonna see the cybercow with a quote:

\ ^__^
\ (oo)\_______
(__)\ )\/\
||----w |
|| ||
Now lets make a bender greeting.
For that we need to create and edit another file:
gksudo gedit /usr/share/cowsay/cows/bender.cow
When the file is open, paste the following (save & quit)
$the_cow = <
$thoughts
$thoughts
( )

| / / '.' '. $thoughts
| $thoughts $thoughts @ @ / /
| '---------'
| _______|
| .'-+-+-+|
| '.-+-+-+|
| """""" |
'-.__ __.-'
"""
EOC
Now again lets open the holy file which enables us to create greeting message:
gedit .bashrc
and at the beginning of the file, type:
cowsay -f bender "greetings master!"
Now you have Bender too.
You can customize the phrase in quotation such as " Whats up bro! here is the quote of the day!: $(fortune)"
That s all which I can tell simply !
P.S. I d like to thank Monsterstack from UbuntuForum for these great tips. For detailed info (such as how to change cow to dragon or Bender to Fry) please visit:

What is wrong with you Ubuntu?
Why Ubuntu is getting worse? When I started Ubuntu with the 8th version, everything was so smooth and fine. There was lots of options that I can change themes, styles and many other features. And now look at the 11th version. It s getting slower, problematic and so on... Moreover, it was like a MacOS that most of the features somehow restricted. I have no option to change the theme. Furthermore, I cannot find properly working commands in forums to make things customized. What now? should I pay for getting new themes? I m hopeful with 12th version of Ubuntu. But if she continues to be that bitchy, I m sorry but I have to break up with her...

Boss in the scene: We are all hunted!
wearehunted.com is a platform that brings emerging songs and new artists that you may not even hear of them in radios or TVs. It became my new addiction and cyber-spiritual channel to the music. Good productions, excellent songs and joyful interface... Simply create your account and start discovering new songs, form your own playlists and share with your friends.
Sometimes if you are lucky, you can download free Mp3 of emerging singles.
Bon appetite!

What is going on in the backyard?
The following video give information about our caring friends Facebook and Google, and their act behind us.
I m afraid to break all my eggs!
We have everything in one basket: search engine (google) & mail account (gmail) & videos (youtube) & online documents (google docs) &Bookmarks-passwords (google sync)& photo albums (picasa) & blogs (blogspot) & music (google music) and now Chromebook which collects them all! For what cost? Is it for free? No! in exchange of a copy of your data and tracks of you on the web. The company gains billions of $$ by the cumulation of this tiny data of people. Yes, they are used for semantic algorithms to provide you "better" service and for "customized" advertising. However, it massively infiltrates to our privacy... Here, I want to talk about all the eggs in one basket and the alternatives.
As you see, Google is the huge basket here and it freaks me out day by day! I need to reduce to risk of losing my data like videos, favorite links, documents... Backup is important since everything s been dragged into the web. Only think I can do right now is to back up to my USB storage device. But it is getting difficult since it is hard to convert online docs to offline formats adn maintain periodically. Due to the fact that Google is inevitable checkpoint on web, I cannot think of another solution without comprimising our privacy. So, what I can think of as an alternative solution is existance of a back-up online service which watches me in internet ( like google) and other than keep tracking my path, also saving my data on alternative cloud storage account (this program can be a browser). So, in any case, if I may hacked or lost data by server crashes or close my google account, I can reach them all. It should not be a sub-company of Google, since it is the only one who knows everything about me, thus, it can be a rival company. Since Google "obeys" the government regulations about privacy and we trust it (the common trust we have to huge coporations), this alternative company can be a coperation which is also subject to the same regulations and as big as to gain our trust. From another point of view, it is also a advantage for that company which will have leverage to compete with Google within the same level. I do not like to share my privacy with third parties but inevitably Google had me, so it s no problem if another big company (like Microsoft) also had my data. Since it should be a competitive market, google's monopolistic position has been ruining the game. If rivalry boosts up again, it would be better for the market and consumers- as defined in the marketing books. I love to be optimistic:)
It is a fact that Google has control of everything. What we should know that they still need us, and we need to act responsibly considering the society as much as ourselves. Dont put all your eggs in one basket!
What are the next topics:
- I hope this eating little fish competition has an end, and we have to see new big players in the scene. Big boys! let the kids grow up!
- I hate to see a facebook comment pane including my name and pic in every web site I surfed! Hey, when has my privacy that much exposed?
- Everyday, data are piling up! who can manage it effectively and extract useful info out of it will be the new king!

Museum of angels
In spite of everything that I have been astonished in Barcelona, the museum of motorcycle was one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited. In this place, you can join to the dreams of designers of these forgotten brands. The place helps you to have a quick tour in history, and let you live for a while into those dreams. Every piece has unique characteristic if you look deep in details of crafting and designs. In addition to that, the wallpapers presents old commercials and brief information about those brands. Here is my photo album of this fascinating place. It was taken a little bit careless, sorry for that.
You can find name tags of motorcycles and some of the wallpapers in this album. Click here for the museum of angels.

Choosing the shortest way from A to B
We ve been thought the ways of going from A to B by the shortest way. We have learned that it is the solution to the problem. There have been always one problem, one solution. You have been judged by the consequence of your solution. Even if the way of solution was phenomenal, it was "worthless" unless you give the only result.
Now look at us, look at the society, look others faces... They are point B, and your thoughts about them are point A. We try to judge them by the shortest way, in which by looking their outfit, color, religion, beliefs, and others' words. Because we have been thought that this is the solution. But we do not know about the alternative, the longest, the hardest way. Maybe it will reveal unseen beauties on the way of destination B. Maybe it will unveil your secret power of empathy and humanity. Even though it is rather harder, but at the end, you will know a person as it is... You will see the unseen...
Please dont be the short-cutter, unless you want to live within others mouth cuddling to your prejudgments.

Zotero: Cite without type
Where were you when I was struggling with lots of pages of references in Word, typing all of them accordingly and losing them when I work in different PCs? But I m glad finally I met you Zotero!
Considering the dramatic entrance, you most probably understand that this tool is a life saver for who deals with academic writings like papers, articles, thesis etc. It simply retrieves the references online and embed it on your study. It also stores these reference logs in your account, so you cannot lose unless intentionally delete them. You can choose the style of referencing such as IEEE, APA, Oxford and many other styles.
When you searched a paper on google or in a journal, an icon next to your address bar appears indicating that you can retrieve that paper's referencing infotmation. Then, in MS Word, you can select retrieved reference and add whereever you need. It also have ability for auto-organizing the numbering of reference list. It helps you to get rid of a great burden of typing, editing and organizing the references, and enables mobility of your reference lists. That s a huge relief. I strongly recommend this tool or substitutes that are as practical as this is.
Please visit their web site to learn many other features and more information: Zotero

We are all criminals, sort of...
Not every crime is defined in the laws. After all, our conscience and moral values are the source for its definition at the first place. Thus, my conscience let me feel like a criminal after I watched this video. Dont you?
Please watch other storyofstuff.org videos just to feel more guilty, or in other words, to see behind the walls.

This page intentionally left blank !
The blank pages. They are the pages in books, exam papers and every documents that surprise us with the follow-up feelings of fear, anger, anxiety or happiness. That varies with the expectation of-course but very rare people know, or think they know, what the purpose is for existance of these pages. Wiki tells that "Such pages may serve purposes ranging from place-holding to space-filling and content separation". There are also rumors that this page were filled by invisible alien language that informs over-universe planets:) That is an another topic of discussion. But If you look at your life, dont you also see these blank pages? So, what is/ was the purpose?
For instance, when I look at my life, I see lots of intentionally left blank pages that were supposed to be filled, but now, not only empty and dusted but also their purposes were even forgotten. As far as I remember, they were mostly about being happy. Just happiness which is extracted from my ordinary life. I still have these pages which were reserved to enjoy my life and to fade away from my troubles. But they are still staying behind and I m still waltzing with boredom. Maybe just a sketch or a note will add meanings and sweet memories on these pages. All I need is to ask myself "what is the purpose?" and act immediately.
After all, we all have our bestseller books named as "the inner-war" which have intentionally left blank pages in each chapters. Hence, We should solve this problem before this book is unavailable in the market.

Another lab class was opened by Google: Architecture101
After the anatomy class by Google, there is a new tool on the web for amateur and pro designers. Google sketchup presents a design tool with a simple interface and fancy functions which is an inspirational application that motivates you to sketch something you imagined right away! I had tried it in autoCAD once upon a time, but it was not as easy and enjoyable as in this tool. you might design a building, car, mailbox or a tree. My first product was a skyscraper as shown on the images. The toolbar allows you to calculate the details, expand/shrink/paint your sketch and determine the location and built it. It is entegrated tool with other google products which helps to import different functions. For instance, you can get locations from google map if you plan to design your home at the exact place. Difference from most of other google products, this tool runs on PC. That is sad but I believe it will be a web based tool soon. Enjoy it!
